Nothing is quite as charming as the delicate petals of Bleeding Heart. These unusual flowers are a beloved favorite. Bleeding Heart is an easy to care for plant that makes for a worry free addition to any flower bed, fence line or woodland garden.
Flowering typically happens in May for most regions and continues through until the heat of summer sets in, at which time the plant will start to go dormant.

Dig a hole and place the top of your bulb about 2″ below the soil line.
Bleeding Heart prefers partial to full shade. The absolute best location is where it will receive morning sun and afternoon shade.
This plant performs at its best in moist, rich organic soil. You can help your plant thrive by applying a 2" layer of mulch at the base to help lock in soil moisture and keep its roots cooler.
Bleeding Heart should be planted in the spring, after the threat of frost has passed.
