We call these 'broad leaf' echeverias, but these echeverias with wide, flat leaves do not always travel well because they have less water reserves to work with as they travel.

For this type of echeveria, this Tornado traveled extremely well. Tornado is notorious for stretching in transit and we only try to import this cultivar when conditions are perfect for her.

This specimen is measuring in at about 3.5" across her widest point and has been with us for about 12 days, getting lots of early morning sun and pampering. She has not put out fresh roots yet, but has a nice, healthy stem and a small bundle of dormant roots left on by the cultivating farm.

Tornados are interesting as their oldest leaves sometimes develop red freckles. Most leaves are muddled in green with a light yellow margin, followed by a frilly, pink berry edging (that will sometimes go red). Truly a unique plant, and one that has been hard to import in perfect form.

This is our only one of these tonight, but we do anticipate on listing one more next weekend.

This plant was listed on March 4th, 2023.  Photos were taken within the last 72 hours, under natural light with partial cloud cover. Slight symmetry and color changes can happen from the time photos were taken until the plants are delivered.

Plants shown may be exhibiting UV stress coloration. Please allow for slight color changes in transit.

Cedar Creek Farmhouse Identification Number: RS03042325 (you will find this number on the ID stake shipped with your plant. You can type the ID # in our search bar at any time to review the our original photos and item description).
