Rhodochrosite with Chalcopyrite, Quartz
Our of the Earth Category will be updated at the start of every month.
Rhodochrosite is extremely rare in pure form. You often see this naturally rose-colored mineral mixed in with other minerals. These combinations affect how richly the pinks display. This Rhodochrosite hails from the famous Eniovche Mine in Bulgaria. She has a mix of chalcopyrite, pyrite, quartz and iron ore deposits. She has a mix of candy colored deposits, glittery golden sprinkles and near matte black inclusions.
This piece of earth measures in at 3" across her widest point and weighs 122 grams.
