These are one of my favorite plants and this is the time of year they really shine. This is a nice sized bulb, but leaves are just starting to form. I see what looks like a bud coming from the center of the leaves, but I am not totally sure that this will produce a massive flower this year. I think it will, but I just cannot be sure. These look a lot like lily pad flowers to me, they make a huge bloom that is truly a showstopper and then go dormant until next winter, but the bloom is definitely something to behold.
The leaves currently measure in at about 2" across, but at maturity they should be nearly 4-5" across. If this blooms this year, it should bloom in the next month. It has been water propagated since it arrived here last week.
This plant was listed on December 2nd, 2023. Photos were taken today, however it was very stormy and photos were taken between breaks in the weather. Colors may appear more subdued tonight, due to the lack of natural light. Slight symmetry and color changes can happen from the time photos were taken until the plants are delivered. Plants can pull leaves as they travel and settle in this time of year.

Is this plant stressed?
If the succulent shown is vibrantly colored, then she is likely exhibiting stress coloration. In order to keep these colors make sure your succulent has bright UV exposure and cooler temps. As the plant establishes in its new home her stress colors may fade a little, however the colors shown here are a natural reaction to her most recent growing conditions.

Do you accept order cancellations?
No, so please make sure you truly want this plant before you checkout. We have a very rigorous shipping schedule and we cannot accept cancellations. We do, however, offer a satisfaction guarantee. If you purchase this plant and she doesn't strike your fancy simply let us know within 3 days of receiving your package. We will issue you a complimentary return label. When and how do you ship?
We ship every Tuesday. If you select UPS your plant should not be in a box for longer than 3 days (we use 2-Day service to the West Coast). We cannot be held responsible for late USPS shipments,(if you select USPS you are accepting the risk of lost/delayed packages).

Where can I add a heat pack?
Our heat packs are (and always have been) complimentary. We feel that it is our responsibility to get your purchase to you safely. That said, heat packs are only necessary if your local temperatures are going to below 32°F for an extended period of time. Heat packs are rated to warm a 12" square box up by 20 degrees, so they can do more harm than good if they are not needed. We will position the heat pack away from the plants inside the box to protect the plants. Our heat packs were purchased on October 20th, 2021 (so they're nice and fresh) and they are rated for 96 hours. Not all heat packs work perfectly every time, there are no guarantees when using heat packs, but we sincerely do our best to protect your plants. You may add a heat pack
