Special Requests (archived)

Special Requests (Updated May 22nd, 2020)

Step 1: If you have a special request please send what you’re looking for to requests@cedarcreekfarmhouse.com (you can also use the ‘notify me when in stock feature,' which is a button shown on our archives or you may send us your wishlist at the same address as above). Cultivar availability obviously depends on the farms’ availability and not all cultivars ship perfectly year round. So we will do our best, but we cannot guarantee anything. Requests take about 3-4 weeks to source.

We must have your permission to use your name or a pseudonym under ‘Custom Requests.’ We cannot place your listing under anonymous. We need to know who we’re holding for. We don’t have to use your real name, but we do need something 😊 If you are uncomfortable with us using your name please let us know in your request email what to put the listing under.

Step 2: Once we have secured your plant at the farm you will see grower photos of the plant under ‘Custom Requests’ (you will receive an email with a link letting you know we have found your plant). It will show as sold out to prevent others from purchasing it until it arrives.

We cannot guarantee the plant we’ve selected for you will travel safely, it simply means that we have ordered the plant at one of our farms and it is in route to us. Plants are not a product, they’re living, so they change based on temperature, import times and handling. We may have the best intentions and order you something beautiful, but it does not mean that it will arrive perfectly. This is why we stopped doing presales.

You do not need to pay for the plant at this stage, but you do need to let us know you like what we have picked out for you (so we stop looking and know that you are happy with the plant we’ve selected). To do this simply ‘leave a review’ of the listing and drop us a little line letting us know that you’re still interested in the plant. Other folks can call next in line, if for some reason you pass on your purchase.

Step 3: When the plant arrives we will photograph it for you in-house, post-transit, and update the listing with more information regarding size, form and rooting status. You will be sent an email to let you know that it has arrived and you will be given three days to checkout for the plant before we move onto anyone who is next in line. If you need more time just let us know, we’re super easy.

Step 4: Once you have checked out, your plant will be shipped the following week on either Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday.

You are never under any obligation to purchase the requests you send to us, so don’t feel any pressure to purchase if it’s not exactly what you’re looking for. We can always look again.

Our schedule is extremely hectic and we do the best we can with our requests, please try to be patient with us and if you feel like we might have missed something drop us another line and we’ll keep looking.

Please remember some of what we sell are hybrids that little farms in South Korea develop and they don’t always cultivate those in masse or bring them back from year to year. Some of our plants are truly one of a kind and we can’t always get those hybrids back in, but we’ll definitely do our best and let you know.
