It's been a little while since we had this starfish like echie. Full disclosure, I am a hard sucker for these broad-leafed beauties, but I don't import them often because, as all succulents do, they pull water from their leaves as they travel. With broad, thin leaves, this causes die back and less than perfect quality. In other words, any time you order one of these types there will be some kind of recovery period before they look their best again.

That said, I do want to start bringing in more of these types. I just love the cabbage look, so we will start bringing these in and recovering them in the retail store, it's just going to take some time before we can start listing our perfect beauties. In the meantime, if you don't mind a little recovery period, this is beautiful Okina. Measures in at about 4" across, with a huge, mature stem.

This Okina arrived on Monday and is stem only. 

This plant was listed on December 7th, 2024.  Photos were taken within 48 hours of the upload date. The blue light is hard to fight this time of year. What that means is anything with a good dusting of farina will throw much cooler colors and it makes some darker colors appear even darker. So please keep this in mind as you view our plants this evening. 

Slight symmetry and color changes can happen from the time photos were taken until the plants are delivered. Plants can pull leaves as they travel and settle in this time of year.
