Echeveria Black Rose
These photos were taken today Sunday, December 15th, 2019, under partial natural sunlight and some artificial lighting (to counteract shadows). Today was overcast. It was very chilly out today, so where I thought it was appropriate some plants will only have one photo today. Anything that needed additional angles have multiple photos for you to consider.
This one is rarely offered, it's a Black Queen hybrid called 'Black Rose.' These always do different things, this one has an icy chalky dark center. This rosette is pretty symmetrical, still some visible green segments on this one, but will likely turn completely red this winter depending on your region. It measures in at about 2" across. It has started to put out fresh roots -- fresh roots are normally pink, this one has very dark crimson roots, even her roots are dark. Again, still not showing optimal stress colors yet, but I have high expectations for this one. This is the only one of these we have.
