Gymnocalycium 'Forbidden City'

I've had this beauty before and lost her during a particularly hot summer. This is a Gymnocalycium hybrid. The farm we bought my from originally called it 'Forbidden City.' It has beautiful yellow flowers in the spring and this one should be mature enough to bloom this year. The obvious feature of this cactus is its incredibly foreboding looking spines-- but don't worry, this cactus is totally touchable (friendlier than she looks). 

I have not seen these in a very long time and they are expensive for us to import. We kept two more so hopefully we can get true to type seed stock in the spring, fingers crossed. 

This one is the only one we have available at the moment. Measures in at about 3" across. On its own root system.
