Melocactus Matanzanus, Large Size

I rarely find myself smitten over a cactus... but I totally can't help it with this one! I love everything about these Turk's Caps. You can find immature specimens for less, but for capped and fruiting size these are hard to come by. This one shipped absolutely perfect and I ordered everything our farm had in stock because I knew you guys would love this as much as I do. We have about four more on the way currently (and I will be keeping one).

This Turk's cap is about five years old and will produce very small fruit that is edible and will taste very similar to Dragon Fruit. This Matanzanus is measuring in at about 4" across and weighs over half a pound. Sparse roots from the cultivating farm. If the succulent shown is vibrantly colored you will need to keep bright lights and cold temps on the succulent to keep its vivid colors. Stress colors may fade a little as the plant establishes in its new home, but should return in cold weather or high UV conditions.
