PRESALE Echeveria Lulu Cluster, (Not so Random)
Lulus are in short supply. I'm not sure why this happens, but it's like these farms will develop a hybrid and if they don't sell they way they want they stop selling them. I did not see many available at all, but this cluster looked gorgeous. She's not stressed, but when stressed will throw vibrant shades of pink. Don't worry, we are growing these in-house too, it will just take a couple of years before we can offer our own stock. This particular cluster is going to measure in at about 2.5" across.
Plant Name: Echeveria 'Lulu'
Size at Maturity: Mature clusters reach about 3-4" across.
Stress colors: Intense, rich solid pink at the height of stress. Long lasting stress colors.Stresses with high UV easily.
Notable Qualities: We saw this hybrid come onto the scene in late September of 2018. At first it was offered by one or two small farms, then it was everywhere and now it's back down to one or two farms for availability. I suspect there's about to be a real shortage for this cultivar, we may see another abundance in availability in autumn, but there are no guarantees. We are starting to grow this plant in house and hope to be able to offer house-grown Lulus in about three years' time.
Care Instructions: A very hardy and easy to grow rare. Typical succulent care, no known special requirements. Will actively grow from late spring-late summer, will be semi-dormant in winter through early spring.
Cedar Creek Farmhouse Identification Number: 045501
